Born in fabulous Chicago. Educated at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Grammar School, and then Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School.

Graduated from DePaul University in June of 2000 with a BS in Finance (Accounting minor), but opted for a grad assistantship in the Entrepreneurship Program in lieu of a "real job". Finished up my MBA in Finance at DePaul's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in December of 2002.

Took courses toward an MS in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul's School of Computer Science, Telecommunications, and Information Systems while working as Coordinator / Financial Analyst for the Council of Entrepreneurship Awareness and Education and the DePaul Entrepreneurship Program.

Currently employed as Coordinator of Research Programs for the Ecology and Evolution Group in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, taking French classes at the Alliance Française de Chicago, learning yoga at Yoga Circle, and knitting. A lot.
